Become a Breastfeeding Peer Counselor!

Mothers, fathers, students, health care workers, anyone with a desire to learn more about lactation and support of mothers and babies in the hospital setting.

4 Day Course highlights:

  • The latest research and evidence, includes basic education as well as solutions to lactation challenges of hospitalized mothers and infants.

  • Learn our unique proactive lactation techniques to help avoid common problems.

  • Expert level guest speakers.

  • Communication, documentation, privacy and professionalism in the hospital setting.

  • Interactive course with workshops, daily discussion, and real life scenarios.

  • Evidence based lactation talking points used to encourage and support families.

 

** Completion and course certificate frequently used as a springboard for an entry level lactation role in a hospital setting. **

 

Course Fee: 

$500 for 4 days in class (with homework & home study required).

* No charge for Rush employees (after reimbursement via LEAP funds).

* FREE for former RUSH NICU parents.
